Job description

Investigate the current creation process for regulatory reports and enhance the process using PowerBI and the datawarehouse (DWH). 

In several countries PFE is required to report to the national bank or credit agencies. This reporting is currently based on manual retrieval of data from source systems and reference data. The data is manually combined into reports, using e.g. Excel or in-company developed programs. A DWH has been constructed to be able to provide in the data needed for reporting.

Your assignment will be to:

  • Investigate the current process
  • Investigate the required data for the report(s)
  • Create validation rules on data quality for the fields required 
  • If needed define additions for the DWH
  • Build the report(s) in PowerBI
  • Investigate further automation (automatic upload)

Your profile

We are looking for an enthusiastic intern with the following skill set.

  • HBO/WO student who is pursuing a degree in fields such as IT or Business Administration
  • Analytical skills on business process and data use
  • Basic knowledge of a Datawarehouse and Microsoft PowerBI
  • English (written and verbal) or Dutch
  • Communication skills, teamwork skills, organisational skills, time management, problem solving 
  • Preferred period of the internship: 4-5 months starting in September 2025

Department

PACCAR Financial Europe (PFE) provides financial services to DAF dealers and end customers to support the sales of DAF trucks. PFE is part of the worldwide PACCAR Financial organization, has its headquarters in Eindhoven at the DAF premises and is active in a large number of European countries with its own sales offices and used trucks centers. The PFE Information Technology department is responsible for the development, configuration, testing and deployment of innovative IT-solutions, management of these systems during their lifecycle and support of the users of these systems. PFE-IT consists of appr. 25 fte. of which 20 are internal and works according to the agile framework. Most of the systems are subject to SOx-regulations.

PFE contains 4 lines of business areas: Wholesale Financing to DAF-dealers, Retail Financing to End Customers, Short Term Leasing and Asset Management & Used Trucks Remarketing. The Retail Financing systems landscape has been renewed recently and a new state-of-the-art systems landscape for Asset Mgt. & Used Trucks Remarketing is currently under development as part of a large IT-project. Other projects are already planned.
